Rules and requests

Everything about getting into the catalogue, correcting data and having an object taken down.

How an object gets into the catalogue

Automatically. We pick up handles from public mentions and open listings, check each one against Telegram and add the live ones. No submission is needed, and submitting gives no advantage in the rating.

How the score is computed

By an open formula. The score is an object's place inside its own category, based on measured values. It is recomputed daily and published as a rolling average, so positions do not jump on a single outlier.

The score and the labels from our checks are the result of measurements and our reading of them, not a statement about the quality of a service or the good faith of its owner.

If the data is wrong

Write to us with the handle of the object and what exactly is wrong. We will re-run the measurement and, if the error is on our side, fix it within three business days. If the difference comes from the methodology, we will reply with the calculation.

If you want an object removed

The owner of a channel or bot can ask for the card to be taken down. A request from the owner is carried out without asking why — write from the account listed on the object, or confirm ownership another way. Three business days.

The same goes for the avatar and the description text: if you hold the rights and do not want them displayed, we will remove them.

Personal data

The catalogue describes channels and bots, not people. We do not collect or publish subscriber lists, contact details or any information about users. If a channel card contains your personal data and you do not want it shown, write to us and we will delete the card or hide those fields.

How the ranking works

The order of objects is described in full in the methodology: every component, its weight and the conditions that lower a score. The algorithm uses only measured values of the objects themselves — nothing about a visitor's preferences is collected or fed into the ordering, so everyone sees the same list.

More on how the algorithm works and what that means in legal terms is on the legal notice page.

Getting in touch

Requests on any of the above, including formal legal correspondence, go to hello@tgsonar.com. We reply within three business days.

Please state the handle of the object (@username), what exactly needs to be corrected or removed, and how ownership can be confirmed: a message from the account listed on the object, or a post in the channel itself.
